hey! im having an open-house! feel free to head to my stables and either bring your horses or you can ride some of mine!you can ride on our courses or pretty much do anything.sOOooOO, today was jammed pack of things to do. i had to get ready for the open-house, and work with all my horses. So i startede with my horses.First Pete. he was in the pasture so i caught him and brought him in. i groomed him then put on the saddle pad then the trail saddle. today i was going to do the trail opsticales while on his back. i knew i was taking a risk doing the ballons and firecrackers but he needed to learn. we headed over and started with the tip-board then moved to the ballons he swerved first then i pulled him up to do it again. he did alot better!then we went to the firecrackers. i think the ballons helped because he did it without spooking!!!!!!! he had done enogh for me so i brought him back and put him in his stall.

I got out of my truck and headed over to the Stallion barn to groom and tack up Knight. I was really excited about the open house, and thought it was a great idea!!! I took him over to the arena and longed him awhile to warm him up and calm him down before doing some jumps. We've gone up to 3 ft. at lessons, so I decided that would be the highest I'd do. I set up a grid, and he did superb! He didn't try to run out or anything! I was really happy, and did it a couple more times before going to find Kiki.

now i wanted to work with Queen. She was going to do trail opsticales i decided so i could ride her on one. she liked doing the log practise so we concentrated on that. we moved the log height then when we had to run up to the logs i jumped up onto Queen's back and rode her over them.it was really fun! i brought her back to the barn and turned her out.i cleaned out her stall then refilled her water bucket.

"hey, thanks!" i said. "could you maybe sweep the isles?"then i got out Fable Gal. Her three weeks were almost up, so i wanted to prepare her for the cross-country course.i groomed her then got on her raised bridle. she didn't like the feel of it at first so i loosened it a little.then Fable Gal calmed down.i put on the gel pad then the crosscountry saddle. i wrapped her tail and led her around for a little while.we trotted some then walked back to the stables. i took of the saddle and pad, but left the bridle on so she could get the feel of it.i tightened it some but left it at that. i gave her a sugarcube then left.

"Sure!" I said, happy to help Kiki. I swept the aisles for her (meanwhile laughing at her typo ( )) I then groomed Pete for her, knowing she'd probably ride him again later. I then groomed Flashy so I could ride her later. I also groomed Promise, and turned her out.

*what typo? *"thanks!"i said.then i brought out Dreamer.we were going to do the crosscountry course just to warmup for trot-racing.i groomed her after i brought Dreamer in from the pasture. her mane was really tangled i laghed and gave her a pat on the nose. i put on the bridle and then the alpurpose saddle. she did really good on the course!the triple water jumps scared her so we skipped them i brought her to a collected trot around the course then i gave her her head to her fast trot.we went to the stables and i decided to not take her to the track.i groomed her then put her in her stall.

getting back to the subject.............. knowing that time was running out, i know i couldn't get the rest of my horses in.i looked on the chart for horses ive adopted, and saw all of them were now healthy!"yes"i said aloud.but i couldn't think of wich one to ride around the open house."definatly not Sherrif,"i thought, remembering how he was with Pete."i actually cant do Sweetie, i got him 2 days ago."i remembered thoughtfully.then i made up my mind.i would ride Fable Gal.then i would get on C.C.'s halter with the lunge line and lead her at the same time.then C.C. would get used to people.so i brought Fable Gal in from the pasture a hugged her around the neck.she was absoulutly gorgeous!i groomed her till she shone like crazy.then i put some hoof polish on.that was perfect also.then i put on the fleece pad and then her cross-country saddle.then i put her in the small paddock so i could get C.C. ready.i took her out of her stall and started grooming.i didn't put any polish on her hooves because they are to sensitive yet.then i took some special coat paint and with my fingers dipped in it, drew stars on her neck and one on her hindquarter.after that i put her in her stall and i brought in Fable Gal.then i took some more paint and drew stars on her, too.then i got out C.C.'s halter and put in on. i clipped on the lung line so she can walk slightly away from Fable Gal and i.then i mounted her and we went out the stable.

"you gonna come Lilly?" i asked."you can ride one of my horses."i trotted back to her and let Lilly look at how C.C. had progressed.i gave Fable Gal a pat on the neck and then we went to greet our visitors.the first one had a little baby named Gracie.Gracie's parents lifted her up on C.C. it was so cute!"i perfect match,"i said, because Gracie and C.C. were both 1 year old.i led Gracie around for a while then she had to go see the rest of my propertie.
