I walk him in and fill his stable with fresh bedding and all! I filled his food with Bermuda Hay and then his water. I bought a halter that had him name on it... I brought a saddle just for him, I had borrowed it from Lancer In Me... I unloaded him from the trailer, he was underweight, had a very bad coat, and bad hooves... My guess was that he didn't havea vet check for a long time! Lilly was his previous owner and I wondered why she never showed up! I brushed him and washed him thoroughly to make sure that he didn't have any signs of cuts and illnesses! I washed the first scrape. I called the vet over right away! They had checked him over and told me that nothing was too serious, and just to work with him! His head was hanging and he was just so depressed! I walked over and unclipped him from the wash stall to bring him to his new stall for the first time. As he passed by, my other horses let out a welcoming neigh. It was a quiet night, all that were stirring were my dogs, cats, and foals... I led him into a stall filled with new things all for him! He walked in cautiously, as if he was going to break something and was trying to prevent it! I slowly led him in and unclipped his halter, he rolled a few times and nodded in his approoval of his new home! I locked him up safe and tight and turned in for the night.

I walk in and watch as Diablo swings his head in fury! He runs around like a whirrling Tornado and wrecks everything in his stall! As he backs up, he puts his head down to hit me! I moved too fast and he ended up looking up and still running! I laughed as I caught him and put on his halter. Though it took me a LONG time to catch him, and I have a few cuts and bruises here and there... He never gave up, and neiter did I! I finally got to walking him around. He swung his head side to side, thinking the halter would come off! He neighed and grunted and stomped his feet! I pulled with all my might but he wasn't budging, so I decided to give him a lot of lead and see what he does! He charged off like a speeding bullet! Dragging me behind him! At one point, he jumped over a fence and I found myself clinging to his back! He wasn't trying to buck me off! That ended of course when I tried to steer him home! He bucked and he bucked, but I stayed on! I led him into his stall and left him there...

I walk in and take some pictures around the farm. I head toward his stall, standing tall and confident, making sure that he knows that I'm the boss! I grab the halter, and before I could flinch, he bucks and tries to bite me. I cringe at the thought that he might actually hurt me someday. But I pushed that aside and thought about NOW! I went gently towards him, my arms outstretched, I grabbed his head and put his halter on him. I led him out to the pasture and let him graze. I then took him to the wash stalls and groomed his dusty coat. I washed him and put fly spray on him. I mucked out his stall and put in fresh bedding and food. I turned on the automatic waterer and put him in. I put my pictures up in the tack room! This is where I let him graze!

Lilly jogged down the driveway and saw the black colt galloping around in the field. She walked slowly down to the field, thinking, hoping. If he held a grudge, she didn't know what she would do. She slowly crept down to the fence and leaned on it, holding her hand out and waiting for him to slow down.

*PLAYING AS DIABLO* I slowed down a bit to see my previous owner. I had missed her so much, and though she left me, no matter what I would love her! I walked up all proud, and put my nose into her hand and blew into it, like I always did when she came over. I nudged her like I used to when she was down, I always tried to cheer her up, and her me... I missed her and hoped she would come visit me often...

*PLAYING AS ME*
I walk up and spot Lilly with Diablo... I smile and walk up. "So how come you never came back? I'm glad you're back, it's been lonley here without you!" I took out Diablo's saddle and whistled to him. He came galloping at full speed and then came to an abrupt halt! I put on his tack and stuff and rode him around the ring. I stopped and had that smile like I came up with a brilliant idea! "Hey Lilli! Wanna ride him a bit? I'm sure you miss it! Come on!" I waved my hand for her to come as Diablo nodded his head in agreement!

I smiled widely at Diablo and gave him a rub on the nose a big hug. I scratched his ears and jumped when I heard Kathi speak. "Oh my gosh! Hi!" I smiled at her, then frowned slightly and got a faraway look in my eyes. "Well, you know... School and stuff. I got loads of homework." I smiled and said, "I'd love to!! I never actually got to ride him much, I began saddle training him and then school took over. So I'm sorry if he's not exactly the best horse to ride."

I smile and welcome her back... "That's fine! He's really calm, I think I might train him in racing, he's sooooo fast! Or maybe jumping. I had to quit one of the games I used to play because of school too! Well, I'm glad you're back:) Anywayz, he's doing better, and filling out more... He's healing up from his stall wound. But other than that, he's happy as ever:)" I smile and give him his daily feed and his antibiotics for his wounds...

I grin widely and say, "That's awesome!" I walk up and give my big boy a hug, then say, "Thanks so much for taking him in. I was just taking way to much time for school and not enough time with him."

I smile and pat him on the neck. "It's fine! I don't mind at all, and, if you ever feel that you REALLY need him. I can lease him to you for free. For as long as you want. I'll keep him unless you really want him, then he can be yours after I work with him... If you don't, I'm going to keep him and train him..." I lead him into his stall and fill his bedding and food and water. I groomed him and said 'googbye' and watched as Lilly sat there with her head rested against his neck. I decided to let them be alone for a while.

That's the pic of him running in the pasture! That's a dramatic pic of him when he was in his pasture at night and showing off! There he is galloping again! I'm going to train him in racing soon! Here's a more still photo of him! There's a pic of his side face!

"Oh that would be awesome! But I already have my four horses, so..." she smiled, "But I'd love to come see!" I gave him a little hug and blew in his ear like I had learned tickled him. He snorted, but let me do it. I smile at him and give him a big hug and the carrot I had in my pocket. I notice Kathi left us, so I give Diablo one last big hug and follow her.

I walked over and turned back to see Lilly jogging up. I come to a halt and say, "I thought you might want a little time alone with Diablo:) He seems to like that you're back!" I smiled and added, "And so am I." I grabbed Chico and said, "Hey boy! No, you can't go visit Diablo right now, he's resting! Maybe tomorrow, k boy?" Chico was a Chihuahua dog who loved Diablo, but he was sleeping and at daycare all day, so he was going to get to see Diablo tomorrow. I carried him to the house and invited Lilly in. I shooed my pets into their indiviual rooms... And let Chico rest in my arms!

I smiled and said, "Well, I figured I'd let some real bonding come later, I'm going to go see him again before I leave though." I smiled at the little dog and said, "He's adorable!" I scratched under his chin and said, "Wow you have a lot of pets! I couldn't take care of this many, I can barely handle what I have now!"

I laugh and nod my head as she said that she would visit him again. "It's nice to hear that! I'm sure he'll love it! This here is Chico, he's like 4... He's the smallest of the bunch!" I offer her something to drink.
