Sooooooooo........... I was riding my bike to Caroles barn to check on Loving Pete's health. he was doing great and would be able to be ridden before i knew it.i took his hlter and cross tied him to the isle posts. He was so spirited that day, being a stallion and all. i talked to him softly and Pete calmed down. The gash on his RF was doing a WHOLE lot better. i refilled his fooder bok with alfalfa and showered him down.i put him in the next empty stall so i could put in fresh bedding for the week. he nickered as i led him into his cozy stall.

The next day after i had brought Goldie home from the vet and farrieri unloaded her. she needed a good grooming, so i led her to the cross tie and got to work. man, she was working up a sweat!i didnt know what was wrong. i used the sweat-scraper then clipped on the lunge line. she NEEDED to be cooled down.Since i had absoloutly none experience with her, i decided to see how her mucles worked, if it looked efortless, how high she carried her tail, and overall how she moved. As we went into the round pen, somthing in the area spooked her. Goldie half reared and lashed out her hind legs. i fell back and then i saw what had happened.i had accidentally picked up the whip with the lunge line. the wind had blown it to her hindquarters. She calmed down as i dropped the whip. slowly i stood up and put the whip away. As i took her by the halter i told her it would'nt happen again.i took her straight to the trot and then slowed her to see how Goldie changed gaits.it was a wonderfull feeling to know i owned her. then we moved straight to the canter, and boy was it the most beautiful thing ive seen!we slowed down to a walk for a while, then i led her back to her stall.i did a quick "cleanup" then turned her out.

I came over to Carole's barn to watch Kiki work with Goldie, I was scared when she reared, but it was fine. Kiki's right, her gait changes are just gorgeous!!!!! It looks like she'd be a joy to ride. *coughcough*

since Loving Pete had'nt been ridden in a while, i tried tacking him up as if i was about to take him to practise cutting. he wasn't so sure about the lasso, but when i rubbed it on his side he let me tie it around the saddle horn.i hand led him around for a whille then un-tacked him and took out Goldie. i groomed her then put on the western bridle. when i found a mounting block i took the llead rope and fastened it like reins. then i jumped right on her back.Goldie moved back and forth then held still. i walked her to the pasture for a little ride.

I got to laugh at Kiki while she mucked out stalls. *knocks immature little head on desk* Goldie is such a doll! she doesn't kick when you pick her hooves or anything! She absoloutely ADORES t-touch. She practically fell asleep!

*next day* i took out Goldie to groomed her. i picked up her hoof and was ready for a kick but was amazed to see that she stood there with patince.the t-touch Lilly was doing really was working! after i was done grooming, i led her to the mounting block then hopped aboard then led her to the small oxers. we circled the ring 2 times to gain speed then started. being on her back was like someone was leading her and you didn't have to do anything. i brought her down to a walk then jumped down to lunge her out. i gave her a carrot then put her in her stall. i took out Pete then groomed him and turned him out.
