i walked up to mynew barn and stared in amazment.it was beautiful!everything i had imagined.+ more.i walked through the barns and looked at the courses. Then i headed to the trailer to unload my horses. nobody would be in the gelding barn just yet. but my two mares would have each other and so would my stallions, but thats what i worried about.i dont know how Sherrif and Pete would do.i decided to try it tonight.before i got them out, i went to get some hay to fill the stalls.Sherrif and Fable Gal need extra because they have somthing wrong in their legs.everybody was going to like their new home. i led the two girls out first, then my stallions.i filled up the feed buckets and gave them each a carrot.then right away i went to the house to settle in there.

*next day*
happilly i unloaded my new filly, C.C. I led her into the barn then tied her to a low post.i moved Fable Gal one stall to the right so C.C. could feel safe between the two older mares.I led her in then filled her bucket with some sweet feed. i gave her a handfull of molases then went to the stallion barn.there i intended to take Pete out for a little bit of trail opsticales.we did the tip-board then moved to the firecrackers.he spooked so i took him back to the hotwalker for i while.when he was done i groomed him then turned him out.

Queen was i little restless today so i took her out first.i groomed her then put on the allpurpose saddle.we went to the race corse to breeze for 4 furlongs then jogged a quarter then walked another.she was great! she only started to lather at the last quarter of the last furlong.i collected her to cool of in the cross-country course over some of the doubles and triples of jumps.i brought her to a collected trot around the course then headed back to the barn.i groomed her then sweat-scraped a little bit.i put her in the stall so i could clean my tack. The western saddle was REALLY dirty.then i got out Fable Gal to groom her. her mane and taial were really tangled so i wrapped them after i combed them when i turned her out.

I rode up to kiki's stable on CHURCHHILL and saw that she was pretty much swamped with barn chores. "Can I help?" I asked.

as i did i saw the time. the Kentucky Derby was on!Crole and i raced into the lounge and turned on the T.V. everybody wantred Spanish Chestnut to win.they were coming down the homestretch with Sanish Chestnut in the lead when he dropped back to 4th. a new horse took the lead when with 45 yards to go Galacimo raced to the front and won.Carole's mouth and mine dropped down in amazement at who won."but he hasnt won in forever..."i sid in awe.Carole rushed home to call everybody and i did too.i kept on thinking, wow, this is amazing, and i went to the barn to tell my horses. they almost understood too how weird it was for him to win.when i told C.C. her eyes got big and she started prancing in place. it was so silly.getting back to my chores and washed some tack, cleaned the stalls, swept the isles, and fed them all.when i finished, i brought out Sherrif and groomed him.his coronet line was cacked with mud. it was tough getting it out!when i was done i tacked him up for roping but didn't ride.i walked him around some then took the tack of.then i brought Pete in from the pasture. he had taken a swim recently in the pond. more fun for me to groom!NOT!it took a while for him to dry of but then i clipped the lunge line on so i could do a little bit of bare back jumping.we did some 1'4's then moved to 2'3's. it was so fun!i brought him in to groom him once more then gave him a carrot.

i walked off my porch seeing that Pete and Sherrif were fighting in the pasture.no wonder.Fable Gal was in the mare pasture on the other side of the driveway.i jogged to the side where the stallions were fighting."boys!" i said sharply.Pete calmed down but Sherrif wanted to fight.i jumped over the fence and grabbed Pete's halter to pull him away.i jumped on Pete's back then slowly we cantered away triing not to let Sherrif know.when we got to the other end i climbed down to let Pete go in the gelding pasture. i thought it best.i went back to the mare pasture to take C.C., Queen,Dreamer, and definately Fable Gal in.i got on Dreamer's back then took hold C.C.'s halter to clip on the lead line. Fable Gal and Queen were so good they just followed us out of the gate.when we got to the stable i put c.C. in her stall and i would come back to her to take off the lead.then i rode Dreamer into her stall then jumped down.i took Queen's halter and did the same with Fable Gal and led them to their stalls.i returned to C.C.'ds stall and unclliped the Line.i fed them all then went back to my porch to read.

*NEXT DAY*
as soon i got back from the racetrack to bet on a horse, i rushed to Frisky in the paddock. today i wanted to work with all my horses.Frisky needed to be lunged alot so i broght her in to groom her.her head was real muddy. i guessed she and C.C. were getting along perfect and that they had been playing.thats what i had wanted because C.C. missed her mom and Frisky had a bad foal that she didn't even get to see!i gave her a bath then dried her off.then i put on the bridle with the lunge line.we trotted half the time and cantered the rest.she had smooth gaits.i took her in then helped her gallop in the feild. she needed to loose the weight.i pulled her in and put her in her stall.

Next day
i walked to the barn and brought out Sargent.i groomed him good then put on his halter. then i clipped on the lungeline and headed out.i lunged him over trot-polles then small oxers. then i brought him to the pasture and let him loose. then Sherrif walked up to me."hi boy." i said. i jumped up on his back then trotted him around the pasture. then we started to canter and jumped over the fences. he was really good at jumping them.then i tacked him up for roping when we got back to the stables.then i got the plastic calf hed so we could practise that.the first time we missed but the second time was perfect!we did it 5 more times then i brought him back to the stables. i fed all of my little babies and swept the aisles.
