Okay, my first lesson was Tuesday. I rode a bay horse with a stripe named Cody. I took with my friend Brianna, and a girl named Colleen. Brianna was riding Hondo, a SPOOKY bay, and Colleen was riding Panda, who she is leasing. He's a TALL dapple grey. Okay, now you know about the horses. The instructor at Three Pines Farm is Mark Molther. He's really nice, and makes sure you do EVERYTHING right. We tacked up and went in the ring. After walking for a bit, he made us do a rising trot, which wasn't toooooo bad. Then we did a sitting trot, then 2-pted at a trot. Then, he had me stay in the center while Brianna and Colleen cantered. Then he let me try, but I couldn't get Cody to. THEN, we all 3 cantered around at once, but I fell off!!! lol What happened was, we had only cantered a couple strides when Cody started going too fast for me, and I panicked a little and fell off. Apparently, I practicaly landed on my head, and my back hurts, but I really don't know. I also scratched up the inside of my arm a bit, but it's not too bad. After I fell off, Brianna, who was behind me, looked down to see what Hondo was spooking at and SHE fell off too! She falls off alot, and once she actually jumped out of the saddle when she was riding Zach once. (He's a bay too. lol) Then we trotted over the pile of poles. He let them canter them while I kept trotting around. Then we cooled them off and the lesson was over!!!

My second lesson was today, Wednesday. I rode Hondo today, and I was with Brianna and Abbie. Brianna rode Zach, and Abbie rode Cody. The first part was pretty much the same. (AKA: the trotting) Then he let us each canter, and I actually got Hondo to do it for a little while, and I didn't fall off!!!!!!!!! HOORAY!!!!!!! Then we trotted another pile of poles, and he had them trot and canter a crossrail. I was really happy cause I cantered though. Next time, I'll canter all the way around the arena! Woo-HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I learned how to post better also. My legs always want to go forward though, cause I'm so used to a Western saddle.
