I was really excited about my lesson on Knight! I talked to Mango about the disipline I'd chosen and why. Knight is getting trained in Dressage right now, so we can't really work on that, but Stadium and Cross Country Jumping we can do!
I mounted Knight and warmed him up.

I waited till Knight had warmed up then told lilly that we're going to work on Stadium Jumping first and after we get that down we'll go to cross country ok? As she finished warming him up i set out jumps and put them at 2 and a half foot. turning to her i said"we'll start small and work our way up hows that?"

"Great!" I said, then moved Knight into a trot. We flew over the jump, but I'm not sure I two-pointed correctly...

"no no you did good" seeing that Knight jumped a little late i placed a pole infront of the jump so he would jump sooner. " Ok he may jump a little bigger because i put the poel there but he'll be better for it, just grip with your legs and give him enough rein" i called out.

I do as she says, but I must've gripped with my legs a little too hard and too soon cause he rushed it really bad. It seemed like I was giving him the right amount of rein, though! And he did jump early enough! Mostly good...

watching him rush it i grimaced. "No worries circle him and take the jump at a slow canter, holding him back until he reaches the pole and takes off then let him have his head".

"Okay." I say, and try again. I circle him, then move him into a canter. He is really excited, so I circle him again and do a half-halt to try and settle him down. I keep holding him back until we reach the jump, when he jumps over (finally) at the right time!

Smile i said"Great job Lilly that was perfict." "Ok go down to the end of the rind and keep him move at a trot and i'll set up a grid." Walking to the fence i got some jump wings and set them up in a grid pattern. "Ok Lilly circle him and start at a trot and make sure you keep him going he may try to run out on you on the last jump but give him a nudge".

"Thanks!" I say and start posting. I watch her set up the grid and bring him over to the jump wings. He does them great! but rushes the last one and tries to run out, like she said, but I keep him moving. I try again, and keep him from rushing. We're really getting better!

"Good job Lilly!" "Ok i'm gona add a bounce to the grid, he may refuse or run out this time too." I took another two wings and set a bounce in the grid and backed away.

I do the grid once more and he attempts to rush a jump but I hold him back! Yeah! He does the next one perfectly! We trot around while she raises the jumps.

Smiling i went and raised the jumps to 3 foot. Then i took out the bounce to let him get the hang of just 3 foot. " ok give it a go when he his going good we'll put the bounce back in k"
